This weekend a group of us converged on Buxton – as was previously mentioned – for some mountain biking and pub crawling. It was an excellent plan. Alas, as they say; the best-laid schemes o’ mice an’ men gang aft agley, an’ lea’e us nought but grief an’ pain, for promis’d joy.
